FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you have any questions? We (hopefully) have all the answers for you! To make it easier for you to find the right answer, we have divided burning questions into 5 categories.

  • Can I order items from the standard range on account?

Yes, we always deliver on account. Please note that we only deliver to industry, companies, authorities, public or charitable institutions, clubs, associations, trade, commerce and liberal professions who are acting in the exercise of their commercial or independent professional activity when concluding a legal transaction (§ 14 BGB). For initial transactions with a higher order value or for companies based abroad, we reserve the right to deliver against advance payment.
  • What is the minimum order quantity for custom-made products?

This depends very much on the type and value of the item. We manufacture complex custom-made products from 1 piece, lower-priced items such as name badges or display stands from approx. 25 pieces in order to ensure an advantageous price-performance structure.
  • How long are the delivery times for standard products?

As a rule, these are available from stock, i.e. they will reach you within approx. 3 working days (express deliveries are also possible for an additional charge). If, in exceptional cases, a larger order placed by you is not completely available from stock, we will make partial deliveries where possible and inform you immediately of the delivery date of the remaining delivery.
  • How long are the delivery times for custom-made products?

All custom-made products are offered separately. The delivery time depends very much on the complexity and scope of your order. However, we are generally talking about days to weeks, not months.
  • Are labeling sheets included with standard nameplates? Can the labeling sheets be ordered separately?

Yes, the labeling sheets are included with all our standard nameplates. You will receive approx. 20% more cardboard inserts than signs. You can also reorder just the labeling sheets at a later date.
  • Is there a minimum order value?

Yes, the minimum order value for custom-made products is 250 euros net, which we also use as the basis for preparing a quotation.
  • Is it also possible to deliver abroad?

Yes, we also deliver to other European countries or Switzerland on request. As the shipping costs depend on the quantity or weight and the exact place of delivery, these must always be requested and calculated individually.
  • How do I order from you?

We accept orders informally, but only in written form.
  • Can I also order samples of the standard articles?

We will be happy to send you some samples at short notice on request. We will charge for these if they are not returned or not ordered. Simply send us an e-mail with your sample request to info@hans-fischer.de.
  • Can measurements be taken on-site?

Depending on the scope of your project, measurements in the greater Cologne area are possible, but will be charged or taken into account in the pricing.
  • Do you also sell to end customers?

In principle, our services are aimed at industrial customers and not private end consumers. In special cases, however, we reserve the right to examine individual cases from a minimum order value of € 250.
  • Do you also process provided material?

Due to our poor experience in processing third-party material, we will check individually whether we can make you an offer for this.
  • Do you also offer on-site installation services?

Assembly services must be checked individually, but are generally only possible in the immediate vicinity by our production personnel.
  • What is the difference between a laser-cut edge and a milled edge?

The laser cut is chipless and immediately produces a glossy, flame-polished cut edge on PMMA without additional post-processing.
Milling produces a matt edge with minimal milling marks.
  • Do you purchase printing services externally or do you have your own print shop?

We have our own in-house print shop with which we can cover all print jobs.
  • Do you also offer plastic injection molding?

We cannot manufacture injection molded parts ourselves, but we have an efficient partner network from which we can purchase such services if necessary.
  • What is the difference between polycarbonate and MAKROLON®?

The material polycarbonate was developed by Bayer AG in 1953 and was given the registered brand name MAKROLON®, which has since established itself worldwide. MAKROLON® is a registered trademark owned and licensed by the Covestro Group (there are other manufacturers) for the material polycarbonate.
  • What is the difference between acrylic glass and PLEXIGLAS®?

Acrylic glass refers to the plastic PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). PLEXIGLAS® is also acrylic glass/PMMA, but this has been the registered brand name of Röhm GmbH since 1933. The term PLEXIGLAS® has since established itself worldwide and stands for quality and a 30-year guarantee against yellowing.
  • What distinguishes PLEXIGLAS® from glass?
